The City of Racine COVID-19 Testing At Festival Hall Will Continue Through January 6th

As cases surge over the holidays, testing key to slowing the spread of the virus

City of Racine – Today, City of Racine Public Health Administrator Dottie-Kay Bowersox announced that National Guard COVID-19 testing will continue at Festival Hall through January 6th. Hours will continue to be Mondays and Thursdays from Noon until 6 pm.

“As we head into the holiday, similar to last year, we are already seeing a surge in cases of COVID-19. It is critically important that before people gather with friends and family this holiday season that they both get vaccinated and get tested. The United States just hit the unfortunate milestone of 800,000 deaths from COVID-19 and we know many of those would have been prevented had more individuals been vaccinated. It is my hope that this holiday season doesn’t lead to an increase in that number, but that means people need to test and get vaccinated,” said Dottie-Kay Bowersox, Public Health Administrator for the City of Racine.

Specific testing dates are:

  • Thursday, December 16th, Noon to 6pm
  • Monday, December 20th, Noon to 6pm
  • Monday, December 27th, Noon to 6pm
  • Monday, January 3rd, Noon to 6pm
  • Thursday, January 6th, Noon to 6pm

Note: there will not be testing Thursday, December 23rd or Thursday, December 30th

As a reminder, pre-registration is strongly encouraged at register.covidconnect.wi.gov to save time at the test site. Testing is free of charge and open to anyone 12 months or older (parent/guardian must accompany minors). You do not have to be symptomatic to get tested.
