On August 11, 2022, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced it is streamlining its COVID-19 guidance to help people better understand their risk, how to protect themselves and others, what actions to take if exposed to COVID-19, and what actions to take if they are sick or test positive for the virus. We are currently reviewing CDC updates and will update our guidance accordingly.
Local Healthcare and Long-Term Care Facilities, including Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities, should review this page for information and guidance on handling COVID-19 cases and outbreaks.
If a Resident or Staff Member Tests Positive:
Long-term Care Facilities (LTCFs), including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Facilities, must report any residents or staff members who test positive for COVID-19 to the Public Health Department. LTCFs may make these reports to [email protected] or by calling 262-636-9201 (Option 1, then Option 5). More guidance will be provided once the report is made.
